How does anything she does even touch him? Mist is absorbed, lava is easily dodged/cooled down, Acid is absorbed. Kisame can drown her, deprive her of chakra or simply rape whilst the match is going on.

I thought the dome itself isn't absorbing the chakra. Kisame has to touch his target to absorb it. However saying Mei can use acid mist in water is also idiotic.

It's not necessarily using acid mist in the water, it's lowering the PH of the water. Mei showed that she was able to adjust PH levels at the Kage summit.

In real life since the ocean absorbs Carbon Dioxide sea life is dying from acidification.

Acid in water? It was futile so i didn't bother
