I've alwayd disliked Dubbed anime , the characters always sound robotic and almost all voices are the same ._.

Sub in tthe other hand is way better imo , it's original and fits to the characters .

Depends on the dub.

Death Note had a great dub, DBZ's was good, and OP and Naruto have decent dubs.

Also, I've come to realize that because we speak English, and know what natural English speaking is like, we can tell when the dubs are being unnatural, and it's too obvious that they're acting. However, since most of us don't speak Japanese, we are unable to tell if the subs are doing the same exaggerated thing the dubs are doing. For all we know, subs and dubs are the same in acting quality.

DUB .___. you can understand what they are saying, since it's your native language.

with subs, you have to read and you barely know anything they are saying, like seriously

99 percent of people like subs because they sound cool. that's pretty pathetic if you ask me

What? The difference between subs and dub is what you hear. It's an auditory aspect that you are liking, how is liking listening to sub because it sounds cool pathetic? That's like saying liking a song because the music is good is pathetic :l

The Japanese VAs for Naruto are awful overall and most of them sound too indistinct; at least the dubbed is distinct.

The subs aren't "the original" either, they're just one interpretation. There have been many instances where the Japanese VAs admit that the English version has been done better (FMA, DBZ, Samurai Champloo etc). It's amusing that most people say the Japanese VAs are good despite not speaking Japanese whatsoever and thereby not even qualified to judge where they're doing a good job.

Dude what. You don't have to completely understand a sound to like it. For example, the song Vogel im Kafig from the Attack on Titan soundtrack. I love it, the music and vocals are beautiful, I can say this and enjoy it even though I cannot understand a word of it since I can't speak German. You don't have to know the meaning of the words to like something you hear.

I like the dub better in naruto more than the sub.
why?
sasuke as a child: voice is like way sick
while in naruto (dubbed) it was much better but sick as well
at least it's not that obvious of which one is better
like in DBZ
where the dub clearly dominates the sub!
GOHAN, GOKU AND BARDOCK SOUND LIKE CHILDREN!

I should start posting this video more often when dub v. sub comes up:

That's pretty much a summary of my viewpoint.

Dubbed for me all the way, I only watch subbed because the dubbed version is always far behind of ongoing anime.

Really depends on the series. I've definitely heard a few that the sub is better for (i.e. Higurashi, Psycho-Pass, Samurai X, etc.), but I've been lucky in that nearly all the anime I've watched thus far have great dubs, if not better ones. And to be frank, I've seen a few that can't be watched any other way (i.e. Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Baccano!, etc.).
