The Edo Hokage: Role and Removal

Since their arrival on the battlefield one thing I have always wondered is that:

How is Kishimoto going to successfully remove them / exit them out of the series now?

I can't honestly think of anything apart from some shitty post-war celebration and "We must leave now" bull-crap and then disappearing into thin air like the other Edo characters.

But

Kishimoto recently decided to make even Edo Tensei immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi. This means that he has probably had a plan to deal with them for awhile which now obviously involves them playing a final role when Infinite Tsukuyomi has been casted.

We have four monumental characters of the series who aren't hiding within a Susano and are free of moving and observing all that is happening, one of which is at Konohagkure.

So the point I'm now getting at is, what will they actually do now since Kishimoto obviously decided and planned something important on this a long time ago.

Is there actually something major they can do that Kishimoto has already planned and if so does this mean they can slip out of the series smoothly at the same time?

I have thought the exact same thing. Earlier back in the Obito arc where I genuinely believed Madz would kick it before Obito I imagined some kind of ultimate stalemate between Hashi and Madara. With help Madara is defeated and they share a friendly moment like back when they were kids. 'all those years wasted, glad we got another chance to finish this' Prof.X/Magento style and then Hashirama putting his hand on his shoulder and ascending with him.

But pfft f*ck knows how now. Im not a fan of them but im actually quite happy they're the last few remaining. Obito and Kabuto need good exits from the series too.

Kishi probably has already planned how the edo Hokages will meet their end, with the recent development of them being immune to IT, being the proof.
Let's just wait and see how things will unfold from this point.

the edo tensei characters role is be bridge/pillar for naruto and sasuke to save the world

edo tobirama may meet the g/s brothers. a grand meeting

while edo hashirama may once and for all, solves the broken pieces in his friendship with madara

edo hiruzen and orochimaru will set their differences

and minato will pass on the torch to naruto and sasuke

I think they'll all have a very important dialogue with Naruto concerning his ascension to the Hokage seat. They all ruled in different way in different eras, so I expect them to impart their knowledge to him as individuals and as Hokage.

Hashirama will explain the virtues of friendship and how the village was made as a haven that needs protection and love, Tobirama will explain the mediation between both sides of ruling and how giving everyone a part can resolve things, Hiruzen will teach him how to smoke a pipe like a grandpa and instill how to govern in peace times, and Minato will make a heavy father-son speech and remind him of everything Jiraiya wanted and taught them.

Then they'll do a mini-ritual and Tobirama will cancel the jutsu and they'll crumble to dust with smiles.
