Matter can't be created nor destroyed and yet it's here?
How did it get here if it can't be created?

It has always been and will always be.

It's not a contradiction, it's just unfathomable for the limited human brain.

There's actually a mathematical formula that explains how you can get something from nothing.

It's very interesting.

Matter is just energy, the question is how did energy get here. I think there is a a theory of spontaneous generation, which means that living things could be produced from non living things, which means flys could be created by decaying meat, which has been proven false, so if Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, and Spontaneous generation (creation of something from nothing) is proven to be false then how are we here and how is the universe here? Will my good man that is a question that has been researched for centuries.

As far as I'm concerned, humans aren't equipped with the capacity to understand how this works. I think that it's always been here, just that the latest we can date it back is the Big Bang, when it was all condensed. As for thoroughly explaining it, I don't think we, as a species, are capable of it. If one of us someday can explain it, I doubt it will be in any of our lifetimes...

I believe they still don't know why. Stephen Hawking said he wants to know why we even exist in the first place.

we don't know where it came from. we just know that right now we can't create or destroy it.

it's not a contradiction, it's lack of examples.

This is the first time iv even heard the question.

Maybe there is no answer.

I believe they still don't know why. Stephen Hawking said he wants to know why we even exist in the first place.

That just sounds sad and depressing, that guy needs to lighten up.

Isn't matter just energy that is vibrating at a certain frequency?

Solid which is a tightly packed vibration with very slight movement.

Liquid which flows freely depending on its limitations/boundaries.

Gas which flows very fast

And sometimes plasma? Idk much about plasma idk how or what the vibrations are.

It's difficult to understand why you can't create or destroy matter because in its base form below energy, in it's atomic and sub/atomic state vibrations is the key to understanding it and we as humans are greatly limited when it comes to this.

I think once we are able to respond to wider frequency range, masters of the universe much?

Able to shape and remove atoms in order to create and destroy matter ^_^ I'm getting too horny.

When the universe was quote on quote created, it simply existed in an extremely condensed and extremely hot form. This caused it to explode and expand thus the 'bang' in 'The Big Bang'. And after the universe expands enough it will gradually cool down, become dark and eventually collapse in on itself. And thus start the process over again, heating up and then exploding. A never ending cycle.

The matter is a product of this, when a star is created it's products include the material to make planets. Everything exists the way it does for reasons we cannot comprehend.

That's not a contradiction, that's a paradox.

As for your question. The Big Bang answers it quite well.

Rapid inflation nano-seconds after the happening of the big bang caused massive expansion which created the universe (which has been expanding for billions of years itself). The energy itself was "created" and or exerted from the big bang itself because the core of the big bang was originally extremely condensed and very hot; heat produces energy in the form of heat energy which is transferred in a process called "enthalpy" (heat exchange). This is further proven by the post above by Trap Lord. Stars themselves are radiated with heat energy and are extremely hot. Once the star dies out, it collapses on the gravity that held it up and the gravitational force (measured in g or better known as "gravitons") is EXTREME. Like on Earth, it is roughly 1 g, which is relative to our normal weight we have on Earth but we'd be lighter/heavier on a planet that has higher or lower gravitational pull; the force of gravity at the center of a black hole (which is just the star collapsing) is something like 40 Million gravitons, which is immense beyond comprehension. Following the Big Bang Theory, that's where energy came from. There's also evidence from the spontaneous appearance and disappearance of random particles observed in a laboratory over time.

our current understanding of nature and how the universe works, that is, physics, breaks down when describing the origen of the uiverse.

that being said, it is also true that matter can be actually be created from nothing, as quantum mechanics suggests, where particles pop out and disappear in a matter of seconds. You should also keep in mind the fact thar matter and energy are two sides of the same coin, which means that they are interchangeable (e=mc^2). this explains from where the mass of our universe comes from (energy), but doen´t explain how energy came to be in the first place (the big bang).
