We got Death Note's legends, we got Sherlock Holmes himself (with his assistant) and we got Shiro and Sora from No Game No Life.

Say we got a case right here, let's say this is the Kira case, but L, N and M will be working together.
Everyone is racing to catch Kira first.
All of these guys try to solve it, Sherlock Holmes gets help from whoever he normally does and Shiro and Sora are both together, but considering they're regular people let's give them a police force and investigative bureau to work with.

Restrictions: There is no killing the other detectives, and no fighting between them.
They can investigate each other, but not put each other at an unfair disadvantage.
Mello can NOT work with his mafia gang,Nier and L can use their small team of detectives though.
Kira can not be killed, the one who jails him first wins.
There is no leaving Japan, everyone must remain inside of it.
Shiro and Sora do not have any help from the Flugel or anyone from the other universe except for Stephanie Dola.

Kira is the only one aloud to kill.
Everyone can speak fluent Japanese and can write Kanji (Is that it?).
Shiro and Sora take this case as a game.

Who do you guys think will win? I personally think that it's either Sherlock Holmes or Shiro and Sora.
L, N,M and Kira sure are great detectives and extremely smart, but I don't think they can defeat these guys.

Who do you guys think will win, and why?

Edit: Light isn't the son of the head of police that works with L, but Light is a detective and he is on the case.

Sherlock vs Light would be interesting.

I'm pulling for Kira here. This would be awesome.

Shikamaru isn't a detective, L > Shikamaru.
Einstein was a genius on the field of knowledge, not anything historical or useful if you're trying to catch a criminal.
Jesus was a miracle worker, not a detective.

If you think L would easily triumph over Holmes, you're sadly mistaken.
Shiro and Sora also have AT LEAST the same amount of knowledge as Einstein + more.
Same as the other guy, you guys are heavily underestimating Holmes.

Sherlock vs Light would be interesting.

When I actually made a thread about L + Light vs Holmes in a detective showdown everyone said Holmes would easily triumph over them.

Is it that you guys are more logical, or are you guys wrong?

L deals with Shinigamis, gods of death. The rest deals with at the most, murder cases. L's smarter then all of them put together.

Sora and Shiro possess all knowledge you can find in the grandest of libraries and everything on the internet.
They are experts at games, whether it is a board game, video game or real game, as long as they consider it a game then you've lost.
They're also fluent in dozens of languages and can learn a new one in a day.
Their skills of deduction are also far beyond that of a human.

Basically Sora and Shiro are supercomputers.
They could even beat a grandmaster in chess with ease as they have memorized all possible positions of chess pieces, all of them.
Their skills of deduction are also far beyond human and supernatural comprehension.

Their only downfall is the fact that they are shut-in NEETs therefor they are afraid of the outside world.

I just realized L, N and M don't even stand a chance.
If I wanted to make it fair I'd have to make it L, N, M, B, K and Q, they're the only ones we have knowledge of that can do any good.
Adding them probably wouldn't make a difference though anyway.

L losses because of the lack of detective feats he honestly did barely through out of the story, the author that made him just decided to call him a detective without actually showing him in action doing actual detective things. besides sitting on the computer and having athority over whole worlds police force and having shit ton of money to buy 100s of cameras doesnt make you a real detective.
What feats of crime solving can L boast of? A handful.
What feats can Holmes boast of? Numerous

half of L's work was shitting out random percentange of numbers of light being kira and then guessing it over and over again.
L has no social life, nor life experiences, if someone asked him to investigate a murder or vice case, will he able to travel to that location, ask interview interrogate witnesses. constantly dig for information, i dont think so he would just wait until everything gets spoon fed to him from the police
L has zero cases solved besides those that author didnt even wrote in the book. he didnt even catch kira because he was to caugh up with an idea that he had to be 100 percent certain that light was kira first. how many cases did sherlock solved?
there are numereous books of them

Actually L usually hires people or privately contacts certain people (albeit from the police, FBI or citizen) to do these things themselves and to report back to him.
Due to the billions of dollars L has he also has access to top-notch information networks.

This has been confirmed in the novel Death Note: Another Note - The Los Angeles BB Murder Case
