...for example i watch code geass and i really loved it to the point that i wanted to visit japan but in the last episode of the series i find out that the character i loved and admired gets killed by his best friend, seriously i can't stand it when mangakas do this, it breaks my heart when i watch or read these kind of stories, don't you guys feel pain in your heart when something you didn't expect happens.

Sometimes the death of a main character is better than keeping said main character alive.

nope he gets killed in the last episode

No, in the english version it makes it look ambiguous, but unedited Japanese version it shows Lelouch still alive

you must be talking about the first series, go watch the second series which continues from the first series and you'll understand the pain i felt in my heart when he died

If you still don't think that he's alive after that, I'll tell you more.

OT: Also you should use spoiler tags next time

It depends on the story, some stories need to have the main character killed off, for instance in Death Note, the main character was in many ways a villain himself.

But I usually prefer stories where the hero lives and has a happy ending, yes I am a traditionalist, heroes and happy endings all the way.

but Lelouch is way better and different from kira, some people might disagree but Lelouch is really an amazing character in my opinion.

Killing off a main character, sometimes, can be pivotal to the plot. Also, just because some ABC character is the main character doesn't mean he shouldn't or wouldn't die.

Kusanagi dies in Ghost in the Shell and then is uploaded in a new form, for example. It had a great impact on the story's metaphors. Writers should do this often, but, for good reasons of course.

sorry about that but some people are saying he's alive in the japanese version and not in the english version

That ending is fake.
Whether he is dead or not is up to the viewer. No debate, end of discussion.
