So much like the 9 tails was sealed inside of both Minato and Naruto the 10 tails was sealed into Hagoromo and his brother.
The yin side of Kurama was taken by the reaper death seal and put into Minato.
If we assume Hagoromo's brother has a connection to the Uzumaki and the Uzumaki temple had the shrine that Orochimaru got the mask from then it's safe to assume the sealing prowess of the Uzumaki came from him.
Perhaps he also took the Yin half for whatever reason. Maybe yin is used for the more dangerous abilities. Genjutsu falls under yin. I want to believe he is the reaper death seal and he pulled the yin right out of the 10 tails to stop the IT the last time it was used and then sealed himself in one of the tools but then that wouldn't make sense as to how people can summon his spirit if he's sealed away.
We know these tools showed up and will have some purpose.
Do you think he will be useful in stopping Kaguya/Madara if he turns out to be sealed within them? History repeating itself. Naruto and Sasuke representing Hagoromo and then his brother coming back to assist. Of course this could only work if you don't age being sealed lol anyway, im not debating that this is likely to happen. I'm just curious if you think he could help at this point.
