Since Madds is the one who started the genjutsu I would say it will get there. I say that because Madds has show to be able to do ilogical and seemingly impossible things that benefit whenever convenient. Thats my interpretation of the reason but I would say that those are most likely moments when kishi writes himself into a corner so he makes things like that happen.

good question. his right eye is closed so cant tell if hes caught in it but bz's left eye is normal. plus hes not being wrapped by tree. i bet its gonna work out well for him being dead/possessed
