They had been hyped up like descendants of the sage and they looked like him too. They were also masters of handling the sage tools that are obviously going to play a big role here.

Now we know Edo Tensei Zombies don't get affected by the IT (ex: Hokages), so there is no way TenTen is going to do anything by herself ,but she may summon the brothers. It was already hinted that TenTen needs a Mist shinobi just like the brothers. They actually have the power to do something and it would actually be intresting to see Tobirama react to the brothers.
