[Theory] Could this be a possibility in case of Edo Hokages?

We have seen that Edo Hokages aren't affected by Infinite tsukuyomi.
What might be the possibilities?

IMO,
- They are already dead and I.T. only affects living beings. (Obito not affected would mean that he's dead otherwise his body should have frozen when the moon light fall)

- Their souls were resurrected into White Zetsu's copies. Spiral Zetsu as well as Black Zetsu/Obito aren't affected by I.T. as well.

- Madara chose the person to fall under I.T. as well as wrapped away by the jutsu.

I think it's the first. The tree was making use of the vitality of the SA and vitality is something Edos shouldn't have since they're dead.

Obito didn't caught because simply Madara didn't want to caught him.

What do you mean? I thought only Minato teleported to Konoha when he FTG Madara's TSB.

OT: I think that since the Edo-Hokages are non organic lifeforms (ones not made of flesh and bone but of dust and debris) that they are immune to the genjutsu.

He most likely didn't get caught because he's either dead and spiral Zetsu has taken him over, or because spiral Zetsu is controlling him, and spiral Zetsu doesn't posses a soul so therefor Obito can't be placed under IT.

You're right my bad. It's pretty obvious that the Edo's aren't getting caught up into IT because they no longer contain a soul, or are dead, and like you said are inorganic.

OT: Orochimaru is using Zetsu as a host and he's caught up in IT. Also it's nice to know Yamatos still alive since he was caught up in IT. I didn't think Kishi was going to make Yamato SP's host. It seemed to obvious to me, for it to be Yamato.

Well if we bring back the transmigration theory here it would mean those edos.. their chakra no longer belongs or is with them, so it may be somewhere which would explain why IT cares less about them.. well I suppose its one of the jutsu weakness... people around the world will sure b rustled after this... Konoha should watch its back.

Zsetsus are not living, so that is consistent. Black Zetsu I recall is described at one point as being Madara's essence. White Zetsu was described as a clone of sorts. So...clones are immune, as well?
