[Theory] Edo Hokage Immunity to IT, Possible Explanation ?

As, we saw in the recent chapter, the Four Edo Hokages were immune to the effects of Infinite Tsukuyomi.

I and many others thought that the Edo Hokages were dead and thus were immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi. But, I didn't think so. After a bit of thinking, I made a shocking discovery.

All of the Four Edo Hokages; i.e; Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen and Minato have a connection.

You guessed it right, all the Four Hokages were sealed in the stomach of the Reaper Death Seal Spirit.

How does the above make them immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi ?

Well, there have been many theories which said the Reaper Death Seal Spirit was actually Kaguya.

If we assume that Kaguya was the Reaper Death Seal Spirit.

We know that Kaguya was the first person to use Infinite Tsukuyomi by the Rikudou. This might hint that Kaguya herself was immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi.

It's possible that the Four Edo Hokages were trapped in the stomach of the Reaper Death Seal Spirit (Kaguya) and obtained Kaguya's immunity to Infinite Tsukuyomi and her chakra from there.

We have even seen a similar case scenario in the manga earlier :-

Kinkakau and Ginkakau were trapped in the Kyuubi's stomach and gained the Kyuubi's powers and chakra.

Conclusion :-

1) The four Edo Hokages were trapped in the Reaper Death Seal Spirit's (Kaguya) stomach.

2) Kaguya was immune to the effects of Infinite Tsukuyomi because she was the one who casted it. ( If Kaguya was not immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi , then who will break the Genjutsu considering everyone falls under it ? )

3) The Four Edo Hokages; i.e; Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen and Minato became immune to Infinite Tsukuyomi after spending so many years in Reaper Death Seal Spirit's (Kaguya) stomach and by obtaining Kaguya's Chakra.

However, I will concur on the bit about Kaguya being the reaper first. Besides the reaper's flat chest, it is missing a 3rd eye. This leads me to theorize that Hagoromo's brother is the reaper or at least created it since summoning it is primarily an Uzumaki trademark.

In addition, I will disagree with your reason for the Edo kages being immune to IT. From what I gathered, the tree drains the actual life force from the people under its illusion. With that, it's safe to say that the kages are immune because they have no natural life force to be cast under the genjutsu to be drained by the tree. But I don't believe that keeps them from being chakra swiped. Just immune from IT & life force draining by the Shinju.

I agree with you on this though the OP did make a very interesting find. Perhaps the oP is right and being inside the Reaper is what has made them immune to IT, or it could simply be because they are edo....And this brings up a question I think I will make a thread about.... :snick:

1) If you read SDO's theory which I have given in the OP, it says that Kaguya might have been divided into two parts - The Juubi and the RDS. It's possible that the RDS Kaguya was purified of the Juubi's power and lost the Third Eye. The Juubi Kaguya on the other hand is still impure and retains the Third Eye. Moreover, the RDS looks mummified.

2) Edo Tensei brings back the soul and traps it in a sacrificial body. Edo Tensei uses souls of the deceased which have life force. How can a soul lack Life force ? It makes no sense to me. Madara was an Edo. His soul had life Force. Which is why Rinne Tensei worked on him. Rinne Tensei is able to manipulate souls (in a way) which means that it must have life force.

Very good thought and theory . I too think like you , but I'd add a little detail . When they were inside the reaper's stomach (Kaguya's) , then they would have gotten a little chakra of her , making them immune to the IT . So , I guess the chakra of Kaguya makes them immune , as herself .
