Led Zeppelin stole "Stairway to heaven"

For those of you don't know who Led Zeppelin is, shame on you, but shame on Led Zeppelin aswell. They stole their most famous song from a band called "Spirit" who toured with them. Spirit is a band from California, and they had a song called "Taurus" which includes the famous "Stairway to heaven" rifts. This guitar rift is considered to be one of the most popular in the world. Did you listen to the song in the link? I ment to write riff sorry about that, auto correct gets me sometimes. They stole the whole riff from them, and the band toured with them. I haven't ever seen plagiarism on such a large scale when it comes to music, or at least rock. They should be paying royalties to that band because that was one of their most popular songs. This kind of changes my views on Jimmy Paige, and his abilities. Don't get me wrong he's still a bad@ss, but to steal on such a large scale, he should be ashamed of himself, and should have given credit, where credit is due.

Although I honestly don't care it's really hard for me to believe it even if proof was provived, LZ is just too good, I never thought they would steal a song.

I remember that there were stories about this thing on a forum where I was active some time ago.

Honestly, when I heard that song it sounded pretty similar to STH but then again I am just an ordinary listener, meaning I don't have such knowledge in music to be able to say this is total rip-off.
But I read somewhere, actually, recently, that there are not many similarities in two songs as it may seem to an ordinary listener.
