My first exp with this idea japanese have with swords in their mouths was one of the remakes of ninja gaiden, where I was attacked by dogs with swords in their mouths, I ranted for like 20 mins of the retardedness of it... then I started noticing it more as I watched anime, apparently its the ultimate show of killer instincts, to use every part of you possible to wield a weapon, making you that much dangerous. Seriously I dont think I would want to try and block or attack with some knife of sword in held on to by my teeth.. silliness.
