If I remember correctly Kishi originally designed Naruto's character with european/ caucasian traits (blue eyes, blonde hair) so as to make the main character more accessible to audiences outside of japan.

Naruto doesn't look Asian at all to me. This is the thing that confuses me most about anime. It's supposed to be set in Japan, but not many actually look Asian. Does anyone actually think Susaku from Code Geass, despite clearly being Japanese, look Asian?

Manga: bigger the eyes, the more asian the person is while the smaller they eyes get, the more caucasian the person is.

Example: DBZ when they got super sayan mode, they turn into aryans

Actually, larger eyes signify innocent while smaller eyes signify a lack thereof.
