I agree mostly but would like to add these:

Tenten wanted to be a strong kunoichi like tsunade. That was a good goal even though she got cast aside a lot.

Mei is well above jounin level, c'mon. Zabuza was jounin level and he is inferior to Mei by margin.

Temari's situation was not Naruto being male and her being female. It was Naruto's main character status that does any and everything like some messiah.



Where is Chiyo? She should be mentioned when Kin and Karui are there.

That's why sometimes the anime sucks bad. When you have real canon characters that don't get much development , the anime team should take that as priority to 'fix' and give them something entertaining, exciting, and interesting (important) to do in the show/story.

You said that the women in Naruto have a terrible character but it seems like you are angry because they are weak

the female characters in DBZ were meant to be sidelined and were just there for comedy and having babies, but the Naruto girls were supposed to be 'fights' warriors , but instead were constant damsels in distress.

A good character isn't defined by the OPness of one's skills. Tsunade, Konan and Kushina along with the recently mentioned Chiyo-baa are quite likable female characters to me.

There are a lot of males that were cast aside too. Kishi forgets about everyone. He forgot about the k11 and went on into other villages. , before even thinking about developing them.Bottom line is he wasted a lot of potential with EVERYONE and not just the females.

Sakura is the only main female in the story, the rest are side characters.
