Yeah the shy girl Hinata shouted and yelled at Naruto very much when he was fighting Kiba and Neji.
When it was Sakura that really did that, supported him as a teammate with all her heart. Hinata just believed in her "Naruto-kun" yet always stay silent and didn't really show much efforts in supporting him in Part 1. Most of the time, she just stayed there doing nothing, just looking at Naruto from far without uttering any word.

Please, Sakura > Hinata, it's not even close.

Hinata didn't help when she went to Naruto during Pein fight. She got one-shotted before she could do anything IN THE MANGA. The anime extended the scene and made Hinata to fight to make her look heroic when canonically she literally didn't do anything except confessing her love, that's it. That's canon.

I see you are trying to argue that Hinata is a better heroine when her character is one of the worst. She lacks depth, she is just one-dimensional. Her life is just mostly about her "Naruto-kun","Naruto-kun","Naruto-kun". Her panel times always filled with Naruto. Without Naruto, Hinata is nothing. And she might even not change at all, remain with her childhood characteristics.

Sakura got variety of panel times, not just with Naruto. And she had done a lot and showed how much she cared about Naruto since the start. She even was willing to forfeit the Chuunin exam written test because she didn't want Naruto's Hokage dream got crushed. While Hinata was always just stalking Naruto doing nothing.

Sakura delayed Naruto's death long enough so that Obito could save him. If Naruto's heart was stopped, then he would be no more. This is more significant that what Hinata had done when she gained back Naruto's senses.

Not once did I compare Sakura to Hinata in terms of who is a better heroine in my post. I was responding to the line in the OP about Sakura having helped make Naruto who he is. Sakura had ZERO to do with what Naruto has become. She is a benefactor of what he has become bc he cares for her. At the critical points in his life it was others who was there for Naruto and not Sakura. Even when Jiraiya died where the hell was she? Iruka gave him a pep talk. Shikamaru gave him a pep talk.

As for the Pein thing, I didn't say Hinata beat Pein's ass, I said she stepped in. Hinata is in-directly responsible for Naruto getting freed from the chakra rods AND meeting his father. Oh yea and notice how Hinata and Shikamaru's immediate reactions were to run and back up Naruto when they heard he was fighting Pein. But Sakura? SMDH.

And LMAO at comparing cheering him on during the chunin exams to helping him regain his confidence before a match that would determine his future as a shinobi and preventing him from surrendering during war. SMDH.

I'm not sure why people get so pissed off when people call her useful. She has her moments of uselessness, so does every character; most recent example is Kakashi. If we go off by feats since 1999 to 2014 and take away all the insignificant stuff in between, all main characters who people call fodder... well aren't really fodder since their actions do play role to the plot (even if they seem like stupid actions such as "yelling to teammates rather than contributing". Maybe she didn't want to get in the way of people physically stronger than her, but wanted to support them anyway?

Now she is a top notch medic, and a possible sage. She also has been a good team supporter, good tactical thinker, courageous at times, stubborn (in a good and bad way).

Considering Sakura is meant to represent a "normal girl" according to Kishi, she is blown those "normal" standards out of the water. Sure she might look weak (and in comparison, is weak) when it comes to her original team, but she had to have been placed there for a reason. And that is the voice of reason between both Naruto and Sasuke (the most powerful out of the Leaf youth.. and possibly most powerful in all of NV if you take Madara out). She is the rock of the group, the support, the real brains.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of her personality because she's a bit cut and dry, when it's not that, she's annoying. However, that doesn't make me hate her as a character. I am on a neutral standing with her. I notice what she has accomplished, I notice what Kishi intended her to be since 1999, and I notice that she has potential to become at least head medic or a sage after the war. That said, stop the illogical hate, stop the ass-pulls of when she was useless when she wasn't actually needed.. If we go by haters logic, Kakashi now = Sakura despite his feats before he even got sharingan and when he didn't even use it. He's still powerful without it and will have much more chakra to pull off much larger attacks. See what I mean? You all sound so stupid when it comes to Sakura and also other characters. Just enjoy the story, have fun, and don't obsess with things that are out of your control (it's up to Kishi).

There is my morning rant/essay thing.

It's pathetic to compare Sakura with Hinata when Hinata is nothing better than Sakura at all.

Kishi just sucked at writing female characters. But still, Sakura >>>> Hinata.

Great. Now it's gone from a Sakura is useless thread to a Sakura/Hinata thread

I agree with your point. I just wonder why you emphasized on Hinata so much on your previous post. So it meant that you did compare Hinata to Sakura.

But for the fight, you forget that Sakura is a medic, how could she fight when she needed to follow the rules of medic ninja.

What Hinata did was a selfish move, she knew she couldn't stand a chance and she could die. She just wanted to confess her love, nothing more, because there's no way she could fight Pein and saved Naruto and she knew it. She made people worried about her because of her selfishness. And Naruto breaking out from the rods was not Hinata's intention at all.

And I didn't compare with that Hinata's "pep-talk", I compared with the what she did overall in Part 1. That pep-talk didn't make Naruto into a chuunin anyway. Its contributions was for him to win against Neji, yet he still didn't become a chuunin. So there was no contribution to his future, it failed.

676 chapters. 15 years running. And the OP came up with 4 examples. LAAAWD!

Sakura had nothing to do with what Naruto has become. He got his motivation to advance from Sasuke. His ninja way from the Zabuza and Haku fight. His will of fire from Sasuke talking about not letting his comrades die. Sakura was just the benefactor of this new found will of fire.

Sakura was never anywhere to be found during Naruto's important moments. When he doubted his ability to beat Neji who gave him a pep talk? Hinata. When he was about to be captured by Pain who stepped in? Hinata. When he was about to give in to Obito in the war that first time who got him back to his senses? Hinata. When the tree grew and he lost his will to fight who got his nerve back up? Sasuke when he cut down the tree and asked Naruto if that was all he had.

Also, didn't Naruto and Sasuke actually DIE when they met the sage? If that's the case then Sakura didn't save him then either. She failed at that too. Obito saved Naruto NOT Sakura.

You're a special kind of special aren't you?
