I mean they would be more stronger if they actually train their asses off and don't be repetitive. I mean giving a Resengan a new color isn't new. It's also not versatile like.

It's actually the very definition of versatile; to be adaptable to many different functions and facets. They use their stock techs in conjunction with their new powers to facilitate the situation as they are presented.

Well, had Kishi bothered to develop the other characters they could've been holding things down while Naruto and Sasuke underwent some sort of expedited training like Ichigo and Goku/Vegeta did in their respective series.

I was so sure Kishi was going to go that route, but nope. The ***** just gave them hand outs.
