What can Madara do against Itachi?

Wrong, Itachi getting stabbed again exactly like how he was stabbed before is what closed the loop and made Izanami start replaying events over and over again.

Izanami's activation also makes the user go blind in one of their eyes, and Itachi didn't go blind until after Kabuto stabbed him with Sasuke's sword the second time.



He's talking about an Itachi with perfect vision and no disease whole still retaining full mastery of MS, which can't exist. It's a troll argument.

Izanami is a bit of a convoluted jutsu:

1. It's a genjutsu that works through the opponent's sense of touch and forces user to have a shared physical experience with the opponent to start the loop.

2. Izanami is then recording everything that happens until the loop is closed.

3. The only way to end the loop is to replicate the shared physical experience which started the loop.

Once the loop is closed, Izanami is activated and the opponent is placed into the genjutsu. Then the opponent is forced to replay everything that happened, and no matter what different actions they take, the events always start over from the point where the loop started and ended.

That was the original purpose of Izanami. Izanagi allowed the user to change outcomes that they didn't like, and Izanami forced them to accept what happened.

So when the brothers tag-teamed Kabuto and he ended upon the ceiling with Sasuke's sword, Itachi got Kabuto to stab him which was the shared physical experience and the loop started.
Then while Itachi was regenerating and Kabuto was having his scuffle with Sasuke, Kabuto ended up back on the ceiling with Sasuke's sword and Itachi got him to stab him again which ended the loop and placed Kabuto into the genjutsu.
While in the genjutsu, Kabuto kept getting forced to the ceiling with Sasuke's sword and stabbing Itachi, which both ends the loop and starts it over again.

Apart from that it operates as any other sword. Your argument "it can cut through anything" is as wrong as this thread.

Even if Yata no Kagami could withstand the slashes of Madaras Kanzentai Susanoo, the pure strength of this attack should send Itachi fly. And his Susano isn't indestructible either. Madara could use Tengai Shensei and end the fight with Itachi probably.
On the other hand Itachis stamina and pool of chakra is his weakpoint. In the databook, he has a score -regarding his chakra pool- of {2.5} of 5.
