Madara asserted that his goal of a dream world in Mugen Tsukuyomi is a noble one. He wanted to create a perfect world, no war and no hatred.

But he told Obito that he dragged him to the "dark side".

Which means he now admits that his goal is a wicked one. His side is the dark side.

Yet he thinks of himself as the savior of the world and vehemently criticized Hagoromo and Hashirama.

I kinda saw him like that too. Just like how Hagoromo said, that he became crazy with power.

Madara is what's called a psychopath, many tyrants throughout history committed atrocities in the name of peace, heck even in fiction, the Emperor from Star Wars said he wanted to bring peace but he was just a power hungry mad man.

Madara is the same as those tyrants, he is nothing more then a power hungry psychopath who uses peace as an excuse for his actions.

Edit: Really he is one of the few villains in Naruto that doesn't have any real good intentions, he is a stereotypical villain of fiction, Galbatorix, the Emperor, and many other villains of fiction are very much like him.
