Do you consider Itachi a hero or a traitor?

He is a Hero for stopping the Edo Tensei, but what he did before leaving Konoha doesn't really make him a hero. Just makes him a good person who did bad things U_U

The majority are against Danzo and what he did for the Leaf and the shinobi world, so I wanted to see if Itachi gets the same treatment.

Itachi saved Konoha and prevented the world from plunging in a possible war encompassing all great nations. However, his methods have been questioned both in manga and out. What side are you on? Is Itachi Uchiha a hero or a criminal in your eyes?

Yeah he did let him in a way. But I mean, if he didn't and he decided to kill him instead, he would be the one who would instigate the civil war, because the Uchiha would be suspected for the murder of Danzo instantly. All he wanted to do was prevent that, so he couldn't kill him. That's the same reason Itachi didn't kill him. Itachi would of literally tore him limb from limb for what he did to Shisui, but again, he instead decided to act responsibly and STILL continue his saving of Konoha. If I was him, I would of force fed Danzo my shit.

Did he make the best decision? based on his given choices? Yes

He simply chose one party over the other to due to his own personal values. He still tortured his little brother just so he could die with less guilt knowing from being judged by the person he wronged. He also purposefully filled his brother with hatred, ruined his brother's life, and was the root cause for Sasuke going rogue.
