Sakura will have to think about this fight but she takes it medium difficulty at most. She's just too intense a fighter for Hidan to try and perform his ceremony on. Imagine trying to cut and then get to a safe distance to lick blood for the HULK. Yeah, just wouldn't happen would it?
I hate on Sakura because she's an awful character but she totally bulldozes Hidan, probably smashing or confiscating that scythe of his too. Don't even think about Katsuyu.

I found him nothing special as a kid tbh U_U
Arcanine was much better.
OT: Being on her own to fight an Akatsuki member i'm sure she would activate her Byakugo right off the bat. This negates any damage done to her if Hidan manages to get her blood. To incapacite him she can use a chakra scalpel to cut his head off. And to reach him she can play dead after he thinks she's mortally wounded.
The only thing keeping her from definetly winning this is her underwhelming stats and lack of feats to properly evaluate her skill in terms of taijutsu and speed, but if we take into account the way she's being portrayed (>/= Tsunade), then she's the one winning.
I'd say it can go both ways based on how each person sees both characters (imo she does win regardeless).

I highly doubt she would start the fight using Byakugo (or however the hell you spell it) thatd be like Gai going eighth gate as soon as he saw Kisame (._.). Another thing is that she would have no intel on that he was immortal so why would she aim straight for his head? Hidan has been shown to far more nimble than Sakura such as when he was able to successfully dodge Shikamaru's shadow stitching while taking the fight to Asuma not to mention he was able to keep Kakashi on the defensive during their fight. In short Hidan takes this mid-diff

It would stop her for a few seconds while she's regenerating, i don't see any problem with that.

), except instead of a tanto she'll be using something sharper, and she's also faster than Shikamaru, which will give Hidan even less time to react.Depends on the strategy she decides to employ. Both times when Byakugo was used it was to purposedly take hits, before that Sakura always focused on evasion; i assumed she would play safe because she's not only alone but also going against an S-level shinobi. Regardeless of which strategy she goes for, Hidan is either not landing a hit or doing no effective damage.
He wasn't keeping Kakashi at bay alone though. They had a plan for him, and that involved Shikamaru, not Kakashi. He never went for the offensive or tried to incapacitate Hidan.
He's nimble and wild, i agree, but he's also vulnerable when he thinks he's done with his ritual. See my argument above.

@bold If that was the case then why didn't she use Byakugo when she was fighting Sasori? It sure would have come in handy at that time.
@The rest This has lead me to believe that she wouldn't use it until Hidan had already cursed her and began to inflict wounds but by the time this has happened it will have been too late as all Hidan has to do is continue to stab himself until Sakura runs out of chakra to keep Byakugo going.

Who said Hidan is attacking the heart the first time he can?
He is arrogant and stupid in battle, he will impale his leg, or arm, assuming he has no intel of Byakugou
And if he does have intel, Sakura only have to punch the ground, break the ritual, and heal herself, as simple as that.
And for the ones who is hyping Hidan's speed, Shikamaru, a tactic long-ranged type shinobi, who is a 2.5 level in speed (0.5 lower than Sakura), was able to evade one of his attacks in a VS situation.

Besides, in the case she has no intel and Hidan manage to take her blood and damage her seriously, she could always pretend to be dead and regenerate after he take off the spike out of his body...
She can solo him easily by herself...
She didn't have the Yin Seal at that point o_o
Well, Hidan is not the type to finish off his opponents; against Asuma he started by stabbing his leg. If he does the same here, she can activate her jutsu while he's toying, play dead during that time (when he decides to finish her off) and then counterattack.
