How can he pierce something he can't reach? He also asked for Bee's and Naruto's help just to destroy one of Nagato's CT.

If he could have Totsuka his way to safety, he would have, but he didn't which means one of two things.

1. He can't destroy CT on his own, even with Totsuka

2. He's stupid and didn't think about using Totsuka which means he won't on Madara




Here's a hypothetical question. Totsuka only seals you when you get pierced by it. What happens if Madara grabs his Totsuka with his Susanoo, cuts off the arm off of Itachi's Susanoo, and takes Totsuka for himself?

There are no exceptions for Totsuka. It seals ANYTHING it pierces. That is why Oro wanted to have it in his arsenal.
