1. I'm confused about the body of Madara..

At first, I think his body was like a tree (when he got the hand of Zetsu)

Then, I saw it as a normal human body with heart and ribs etc (when he got kicked by Gai)

But again, his body was cut down like a tree by Susake..

So, what is it made of??

2. And I'm also confused about his tankiness.. he tanked the superhuman punches and kick of Gai and lost only his half (normal human body wouldn't tank that Gai attack).. but again his body was easily cut like a Jelly by Sasuke's normal sword.. So, his body is super tanky or just like normal body?

Madara's body was already very durable before he became the juubi jin, he survived the slaps of all the Bijuu. But he got just a normal body with flesh and ribs, it only looks jelly like when he was cut.

he got a normal body but he can built it back and attach parts from zetsus and what not...its like a plug and play feature with bodies and eyes..kishi is twisted in that respect

Sasuke sword is no ordinary sword. The Kusanagi blade is said to cut through anything, and Sasuke channels his lightning into it to increase it's sharpness.

madara body is became normal one when he come to life again. he had zetsu hand like that coz of senju dna.
juubi jin body got high durability and healing power and when sasuke cut him he is more than a juubi jin.

.. according to all the comments, I'll conclude like this..

1. Mandara has normal body with viscera + Senju DNA which makes it look like a tree when regenerating or getting cut.
2. Sasuke's sword isn't normal sword
3. So, it cut through Maddy's body although it's super durable
4. But Maddy didn't give a sh!t about getting cut in halves as he could regenerate/heal himself in no time..

He has the juubi, the shinju and Hashirama clone that allows him to regenerate. Having these in his body doesn't mean he's indestructible however. By the looks of it, Sasuke cut him via his indefensible lightning spear and his new super speed technique that gave him thrust while Madara at the time was not fast enough to block, dodge or dispel it with onmyouton. Now that he has both his eyes, it appears that he can now.
