I think so too. I wonder if he got crap for killing Asuma, Jiraiya, Itachi, and Kakashi so closely together. He really hasn't killed anyone off, especially after reviving Kakashi.

Probably has to do with his father dying... I can't imagine writing a death is any kind of easy for him right now. It would also explain Naruto's super healing powers, his wish that something could've saved his dad.

The TrollKage should have died, or at least some of them. Gaara, Mei, and maybe Ay should have survived but both Tsunade and Onoki should have died. It would have contributed to the plot.

Madara should kill Obito, and then maybe another relevant character such as Kakashi or Bee (bee is still alive). But we know he definitely will not kill Kakashi if he couldn't even kill Guy. Sakura won't die either because she is either going to hook up with Sasuke at the end of the manga.

NB Ghost writing at it's finest...how exactly would killing those people contribute when most of the fanbase doesn't care about them? Why not kill Lee,Shikamaru,Gaara,Mei,A,or Temari or is this just another case of people wanting to get rid of characters they don't like? would you really feel that sad over a fictional characters death? Would it make a difference?

You realise the Edo Tensei'd characters are still all dead, right? Along with the vast majority of the shinobi Alliance, which includes Neji, Shikaku, Inoichi, Ao and a couple of other named characters.

Out of the Big 3, Kishi is the least afraid of killing off characters. When is the last time any named character died in Bleach or One Piece - not including flashbacks? How high are Kubo's and Oda's body counts? Not very high, I'd say.
