Kakashi is More of aMain Character than Sakura?!!!!

Sakura is a main character, but she's barely relevant. If Sakura dies nothing will happen to NV

She doesn't belong to a famous clan
She doesn't love the main character
The person shes loves doesn't love her back
She had/has no connection any villain
She has no connection to any of the dead hokage
She has no unique jutsu of her own

Kishi is trying very hard to make her relevant, but its not working. Now Naruto's become jesus level healer, Sakura's medic skills are also unnecessary and usless

@ bold- how so? Yes, she's connected to Naruto and Sasuke in terms of being their team mate, and I guess he has childhood memories of the other rookies but can we really call that 'relevant?' Can we truly say we'd lose anything to the story is Sakura didn't exists?

I hate how people think others need back stories. I always thought it was a nice and different that at least one of them didn't have a tragic back story.

If Sakura didn't exist, Naruto would've had his head chopped off by Zabuza's blade on their first encounter. I'd go on but that's the earliest time that the story would've been completely different without her.

The problem with Sakura is she doesnt have backstory, she is a plain 2-D character.

That's being too generous. Many 2D character have special abilities. Sakura is a complete rip-off of Tsunade

No but i think its pretty obvious that she must get a powerup and the only way she will get it is if someone gives her something, must likely Naruto

I agree that Kakashi is more relevant than Sakura. He definitely is a main character lol. Kishimoto has stated the main characters to be Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto. There are four in the series, he's never been a support.

Sakura is the one on the front because she's the most relevant out of all the other females in the story. However, the real problem here is that not a single girl in this story is as close to being relevant as the guys are. That's just the way Kishimoto writes I guess.

I see your point, but in terms of literature she seems almost pointless. It would be one thing if she influenced Naruot and/or Sasuke in any way. If Sasuke held a soft spot for her (for example) we could say, "oh Sasuke may not try to kill so and so after all bc did you see how so and so reacted to her actions/tears/wisdom/etc.

And yea Naruto likes her but has his feelings for her impacted the story at all?

Also, she's supposedly book smart(er) than Naruto and SASUKE and he still served no purpose in part 1.

Also, it's time to let go of the kunai or (this one is new the Zabuza incident. Man, here we are 10 years and 600+ chapters later and her fans have to reach aaaalllll the why back to part 1 to try to scrounge up some relevancy for her?
