Tobirama wins this. He has superior chakra going by implied feats, his FTG is basically the same, he is a better sensor and has demonstrated superior intelligence. His suiton is also a major factor in the fight. Severing wave will be hard for Minato to dodge without FTG, more so, Tobirama can teleport to the water on the floor or while its mid-air, because it contains his chakra [

whats he gonna do? he has no breathing room whatsoever and constantly evading them will be too stressful for tobirama.

minato on the other hand will only have to look out for one kunai, which is no issue at all. he can deflect it with his own, heavier kunai or just evade it.

tobiramas suitons are doing jack all, frankly. them being used as a medium to teleport is just as useful as minato's marked kunai only minatos kunai are permanent and there are many of them, whereas tobirama would have to repeatedly use suiton, lasting only once.

if bunta comes out, he can use his oil and minato can use that as a medium to teleport, making it just as usable as tobirama using his suiton. minatos already showed connection between his toads before

I don't get why people actually thing Tobirama has a chance just because he can mark kunais when Minato has clear advantage with multiple markings.

Give Tobirama multiple kunai's like Minato then only I'll consider this as a high dif or above high match.If he has multiple markings then it'll be almost even match and Minato wins this more times than not IMO.

In a manga knowledge, Minato has full on Tobirama when Tobirama has none on Minato(considering he died long before Minato's death), and considering he is faster, he will take advantage of his knowledge really quick in this battle. In a no knowledge situation however, it would be closer, but i still give the advantage to Minato due to speed advantage. While hiraishin is instant, you still need to trigger it before, otherwise you get raped. If needed, Minato will use his superior summon to give him greater advantage(possibly entering SM while summoning Pa/Ma and thus increasing his reaction speed and attack area)

I agree that there is maybe some possibility in this but honestly it just doesn't sound believable to me. And even if it is, how long does the chakra remain in the water? I assume that after the water hits the ground, it just becomes regular water and the chakra dissipates from it. I even remember when Tobirama tried to save Naruto from the god tree, he fired his water style severing wave but didn't use it to teleport to Naruto and instead had to jump over the branches to try and reach him.

The point is, there is a reason they both use a jutsu formula. It must be created using their chakra or contain some of their chakra within the seal. If Tobirama could easily just spray water everywhere and teleport to all of it then why has he never done so (pretty sure a smart guy like him would have used that to his advantage)? That scan you showed suggests that minato was referring to his kunai which contain his chakra, chakra arms obviously suffice too (for obvious reasons).
