So the question is, can two close ranged fighter beat Deidara? Personally I think Deidara can win the first scenario with high difficulty if he plays his cards right. ​

I would not classify Gai as a sole short range fighter, Asakujaku and Hirudora especially the latter shown immense range.

He can take this by his own. Considering he has Tsunade who can heal him with a touch at his side; he would not hesitate to open gates from get go slightest.

How is she useless when she was useful against far stronger enemies than Deidara?

How about the range of the acid?..what does deidara do about that?

How about Dei can fly and dodge?

Dei easily dodges the acid when I look at the dance act he made against Gaara. Gai is the main factor here. He is fast and can kick up the air. He could and would bring him down from his bird.

Because she has no range :| And all she can do is boost Gai's chakra, however that's useless here as Gai is a tiajustu master, aka not needing of the chakra she can support really.
