I don't believe in hiruzens hype just look at it he can't even finish of spiral zetsu hype without feats is useless.

How can you believe the hype with zero feats? The 8th gate had hype but it had lower gates feats to make people believe it. When hiruzen start showing S rank and S+ rank jutsu maybe then we can talk, but right the guy is throwing shurikens lol. Ten ten don't even do that no more.

Once again I will explain why he is so powerful. The third man to share the title "God of Shinobi" alongside 2 beasts (Hashirama Senju and the Sage)

Learning the skills and knowledge from the 1st and 2nd, Hiruzen was able to get the village through 3 Great Shinobi World Wars. Having the longest reign of Hokage. 40+ Years.

-An Old 5% Hiruzen sealing both 25% Edo Hokages with clones in complete darkness. Don't care how weak the Hokages were. Hiruzen was in a far off worse condition to fight. This is an excellent feat.

-A battle exhausted Hiruzen with a part of his soul left easily disarming Orochimaru and speed owned him behind his blind side to catch him in close range. You can easily see with these scans that Orochimaru was actually pushed to try at the last second and looked quite frightened. This is THE Orochimaru who without arms was playing around with 4 Tailed Naruto.

Using these scans, It would be possible that if Orochimaru didn't have his Edos, he would have been easily killed by Hiruzen.

- While having the sword of Kusangi pierced through him, Hiruzen was still able to hold Orochimaru's soul with the Reaper for an 1 hour long showing extreme willpower!

-Speed feats are beautiful keeping up with Hashirama and Tobirama at the same time.

-The Hokages are easily praised by both Naruto and Sasuke. The statement obviously includes Hiruzen. By Sasuke's own admission. " Looks like they're not just talk after all" should be enough.

Can use all of Konoha's non KKG techniques which includes the Ino–Shika–Chō with Kage Bunshins.
Despite many on the Base saying that he cannot, Manga disagrees as Orochimaru (Hiruzen student) states his ability for "Knowing and being able to use all the jutsu that exist in the Leaf"
This includes mastery over all 5 elements to a godly extent and mastery of all forms of shinobi combat.

Proof. Here Hiruzen is clearly able to use the Inuzuka Clan's enhanced sense of smell as shown in this scan.

Therefore proving that Hiruzen is able to use all the techniques in the village which includes the famous Ino–Shika–Chō which can be easily used by Hiruzen with clones. =D

We have no feats for him in his prime, however we can use his feats during the war. We know that a person revived with edo tensei has their skills severely hindered - and the fact that Hiruzen was able to counter the miniature version of Hashirama's Several Thousand Hands status in his extremely weakened state does show how much of a boss he would have been during his prime. I am only basing this off war feats, not from his prime days as we have none.

The hype was retconned the moment Hashirama got revived and we got a flashback of his fight with Madara. Even before that, the way Madara was talking about him, how the Kages are nothing compared to him.

Clearly Kishi didn't plan the story that further ahead when he made those statements about Hiruzen.

Kishimoto did change it so that Hashirama is more powerful. People believed that Hiruzen was more powerful, but they didn't realize how powerful Hashirama really was. Few people did, Madara being one of them for obvious reasons.
It's also evidently clear that without Hashirama, Hiruzen was the most powerful of his era and inherited his mentor's title.

Nothing else was changed. Hiruzen's still even called "one of the strongest" in relation to Hashirama, Tobirama, and Minato, yet people still don't think he's even in the top 20. Even in the last, what? 100 chapters? We saw a godmodded Danzo admit inferiority to him, and Hiruzen told Tobirama right to his face that he was more powerful.

The one major battle that centers around him took place in pt.1 before the series became DBZ-lite.

Hell, pt.2 Kakashi without Kamui would also rapestomp pt.1 Kakashi, and it's the same character.

He was also old and repeatedly stated to be much weaker than he used to be which forced him to fight smarter, not harder. He used what he needed to win instead of wasting chakra on needless jutsus.

1. Used Dragon Napalm to try to hit all three at the same time.
2. Used Mudslide Wall to defend against Tobirama's Water Dragon Missile.
3. Summoned Enma for support against Hashirama's Birth of Dense Woodland.
4. Used Shadow Clone+Reaper Death Seal combo to pull the win.

you do know Kishi changes the manga right it was said he was the god of shinobi before part 2, when Itachi was planned to be a bad guy, not how it turned out on the show. Hell Hiruzen's bodyguard said he was great but he had nothing on tobirama senju.

That was like the early 2000's. The time when Naruto had more tactics during battles and wasn't always like DBZ. If Kishi were to redraw the battle, it would live up to the standard. Believe it!
