Backstory: Akatsuki has ordered Hidan and Kakuzu to hunt down Orochimaru. While Kakuzu takes on Orochimaru and Kabuto, Hidan decides to get some rituals in. Hidan ends up running in to Kimimaro.

If Kimimaro stabbed Hidan, then he'd be prone to Hidan's attacks.

Kimimaro med diff. He got hit multiple times by Pt. 1 Lee, so I think Hidan has a chance to take his blood and execute him, but even if he does, I think Kimimaro could use a large scale Bracken Dance in order to not let him complete his ritual.

I wasn't trying to say that the Bracken Dance would actually kill Hidan, however it would ruin his mark of blood he needs to make to perform the ritual, and therefore he wouldn't be able to execute Kimimaro like he did Asuma.
