Not likely. He didn't know of Naruto or Sasuke's existence before this arc. And as of yet, he doesn't have any connection to Orochimaru.

This isn't true, because without Madara Naruto's parents wouldn't of died and Naruto wouldn't have the Nine tails. The arcs would have been different. Also the Uchiha Clan probably wouldn't of been exterminated.

part one was because of the 9 tails incident. if Madara didn't plan it all and Obito didn't do that what would of happened. So yes, it was for us to learn about the characters from that point on learn about how they started

Yes this entire naruto story line is madara s plan to collect all the bijuu and revive the juubi. The war wasn't apart of his plan but kabuto brought him back at his prime so that helped on great ways.

NO, it was not. We are introduced to new characters throughout the entire series. Calling all of part one a side story to justify Madara's lack of involvement in it is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on this forum.

"Starting today you are... MADARA UCHIHA!" Few years later Obito attacks the leaf village in his behalf, clearly Madara's idea. How do you figure Obito knew when kushina's seal is at it's weakest? How do you figure he learned how to "summon" the 9 tails? How was he able to control it? Madara taught him and prepared him before he died. And after his attack on the leaf failed, what do you know? Obito presents himself as "madara Uchiha" to itachi and tells him the the hatred he carries for the uchiha. Obito doesn't hate the uchiha, why would he, so it doesn't even begin to make sense. Madara hated the uchiha for betraying him, Obito acted on Madara's will "For years.. I've walked in madara's stead". Obito did his own little things on the side, but the attack on the leaf village, the uchiha, were clearly Madara's plan.
