Which Naruto character has the best backstory for a spin-off?

The Pitch:
A great and noble warrior trying to protect and tend to a poor and overcrowded village, and his attempts to bring peace to the world and his negotiations with the 5 great shinobi villages, showing him struggle to achieve his dreams and perhaps come so close time after time before losing his convictions and becoming a bitter shadow of his former glory that just doesn't care anymore.

It would open the doors for a whole new look at the Narutoverse, with potentially limitless creative possibilities and characters that wouldn't necessarily conflict with established canon originating in Konoha. Familiar faces from other villages could also show up and the stuff they do also shouldn't contradict what happened in the Naruto manga.

I think Hiruzens Journey would be amazing as a spin off...Start Hiruzen as a young kid in the academy and see why he earned the title of God of Shinobi.

I dont really think any other character is worthy of a spin off for Naruto. The only others I would want to see is Madara, Hashirama, Minato, Jiriaya, and Oro, and we already got the big picture of it.

History of great ninja.
Telling the story of great ninja or people of the past from kaguya to third hokage.

Threads like these restore my faith in kishi.
Glad you guys aren't in charge of spin-off ideas.
Having it about minato or madara or characters like that would remove the rose colored lenses you see them through.

On another note, since Kishimoto kept Hanzo gimped and never showed what he was capable of other than poison, summoning, and swimming. The sky is really the limit, and no matter what he does, we the readers won't be left saying "Well why didn't he do that in the naruto manga?" because as I said, he was gimped.
