Madara might get a third eye because obito said that "when you obtain both eyes of the same dojutsu, you awaken their full power". Also when madara absorbed the tree he said "The tree is ready to become one?" and after he was done with obito at the last chapter kishimoto did not show his presence. he only showed him coming out of the portal.
