Not trying to put a bash thread here but all the names from Kenichi, the entire theme from naruto with literal name alterations magic - jutsu, hidden village- guild, dragon - tailed beast, more ninja cats, etc.
A lot of one piece too.
I don't know. Think it would be interesting to point out some of te similarities in a single thread. I want to write a manga and it turns out that the theme I wanted has been done in a smaller manga already but much different than I was thinking. I want to see how similar it can be before it's considered a blatant rip off. Lol
Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, but for some reason it happens a lot with FT, more so than with other series, that people are seeing what they want to see just so that they could say it's ripped off, while it isn't or in the least it's something so universal that saying it's ripped off can only be seen as a sign of ill will.
Names?
I'm not going to start searching for all the names and compare them, but the only one that comes to mind are Natsu Tanimoto and Natsu Dragneel and Natsu isn't really a unique name. Sorry, but that is not even remotely a rip off. Have you any idea how many Yamato's, Sengoku's, Sakura's and Minato's are out there? Many of these Japanese names are like the equivalent of an American character being named Jack or John. Fact is that FT even has quite a large variety of names. Hiro so far has used Japanese, Dutch, German, English, American, Spanish etc. names.
There are no names being ripped off in FT, that's just you thinking because a name that appears there also appears somewhere else, it must be a rip off.
Ninja Cats?
Where are there ninja cats? The Exceed? Sorry, but other than that both have the ability to speak -and Naruto isn't the first series with talking animals and cats- there is nothing really that makes them the same. Not to mention I seriously wonder if Naruto was even the first one of the two to have a talking cat in the series as Happy was introduced in chapter one, though I'm not really going to bother to check that. The two concepts are very different.
Tailed beasts and dragons?
Are you now serious? Have you any idea how many series there are with monsters like that? And their concepts are completley different. Dragons are an actual species in FT, while the Tailed Beasts have a set number, were created and play an important role in the entire concept of Jinchuriki's and the like. They are not the same. It's impossible to even consider that as a rip off.
Magic and jutsu?
Ki, reatsu, chakra, magic...this is one of the most recurrent concepts in manga series. This is something so universal it's impossible to steal it unless it would be word for word. The concept of 'jutsu' isn't even something Kishi created, it already existed in real life and nearly every manga that is of the fantasy/supernatural genre has people running around that spam elements, control shadows and whatnot which originate from a 'source'.
Guilds and villages?
If anything they are the complete opposite. Ninja villages are hidden, are practically a military and do even assassination jobs. Guilds are right in the middle of the cities, are in the hands of individual persons, they can't fight among each other, belong under the same organization, can not take things like assassination jobs etc.
What you did was intentionally trying to see things of FT being ripped off from other series, while the reality is that none of the things you listed got stolen. FT and OP have the same vibe, but that's very superficial and comes from the whole 'nakama' theme, which comes from Goku of Dragonball. There isn't any significant thing in FT that could be considered being ripped off from OP as it's too common. Same thing with people who claim that OP has been ripping off from FT.
