Even the simplest of tactics may prove useful against even the strongest opponent. The lesson they learned from the original bell test was to use teamwork in order to retrieve two bells. This time around they will use teamwork, but in order to obtain two eyes instead. (Seems plausible.)

I don't think that was the point that was supposed to be taken away from that. In fact, they said it right after. The goal is teamwork. The referencing back to the bells mission was eluding to the fact that they were supposed to use teamwork then. Just as they need to now to fight Madara and win.

Though, it could be both. Either way I'm happy to see Team 7 back together again.
