What makes you think that Susanoo can't break out of a A rank technique, who's size and depth is determened by the users chakra and skill.

even if somehow the susanoo did start to sink into the mud, it would be too slow and it would take no effort to jump out of the head of susanoo to a safe area.
dont be foolish thinking a average A rank technique could trouble the Susanoo Gods.

As the Databook and Manga both showed, it a technique very effective against large targets, even giant snake summons (which btw are bigger than ms itachi or ms sasuke's susanoos) couldnt muster enough strength to come out of it

I believe the perfect susanoo would be able to escape because of it's massive size and the fact that it has legs. Other forms probably wouldn't do so well.
