What ever happened to the Senju clan?

We already know that the Uchiha clan died out because of the Massacre, but what happened to the Senju?
They were never really seen, except for in flashbacks, and as a matter of fact, Tsunade is the only living Senju that we know of.

They assimilated and slowly started to mix with all the other clans of the village. And some died out.

If tsunade dies the senju most likely dies with her i think that the senju just died off when hasirama and tobirama passed away

Well I knot that the Senju clan was very scattered when first united, so yeamaybe they just assimilated with others and kinda just disappeared.

in a way Tsunade is also one of the few living Uzumaki that we know of as well, and before you that she is't you should remember that Mito Uzumaki is her grandmother and therefore Tsunade has Uzumaki blood in her which therefore makes her part Uzumaki.

Well the Uchiha Clan was already small before Itachi slaughtered them, My guess is that a good portion of the Uchiha and Senju were killed in war. And killed each other before they had made peace. And as everyone else had said they slowly diluted into other clans. The same clan(or family) cant keep mating with each other, they had to prevent incestry eventually
