Looks:
Standing at 5'10" weighing 176 1/2 lbs, Akuma likes to wear a dark colored Gi and his masters prayer beads. Along with that he wears a rope belt and rope gloves along with straw sandals, although sometimes he prefers not to wear the sandals. He has shark like teeth and fiery red hair flaring outwards and tied into a top knot. With his crimson demonic like eyes and dark reddish tanned skin, he appears quite intimidating.
Personality:
Akuma is a cold, ruthless warrior only seeking to become stronger and to destroy the strongest. Anger is the only emotion Akuma demonstrates, not that its a bad thing. He takes his training in the upmost seriousness and will brutally attack any who interrupt.
He hates his brother for not utilizing the true dark power of their fighting style and for swaying his adoptive nephew from it as well. A lot of Akuma's nature would be derived from this dark power, along with it he calls himself a denizen of hell or "evil incarnate". He is extremely nihilistic, only wanting to kill or be killed, believing life is meaningless.

Background Info
History:
While growing up in Kumogakure, Akuma and his brother Gouken were trained under the master Goutetsu. Goutetsu taught both of them a very powerful martial arts. This art was incredibly powerful and with it came two very different styles of fighting. One being righteous and humane while the other being dark and more powerful than the other. In time the brothers and master would get into disputes among the correct style that should be used. Goutetsu would continue to teach the violent style which would lead to Gouken leaving the dojo and starting his own. Goutetsu was an enlightened man and had no qualms with Gouken for leaving, while Akuma would stay and learn the dark power the master taught.
To learn the dark power known as Shun Goku Satsu, Akuma would embrace the principle of Satsui no Hado, in which he would dump all feelings towards other humans. He would cut off his last tie upon leaving his master to train alone in order to dwell deeper in the power Shun Goku Satsu. Due to embracing Satsui no Hado, he gained the lust to fight to the death, unlike his master who was able to control the urge. Akuma would eventually make his way back to his master in order to challenge him, which he did and killed his master. During this time Gouken came to visit his master and saw his lifeless body and Akuma who no longer appeared human. Gouken said nothing attempting to sever the bond and left for the woods.
Later in life Akuma would search for his brother in order to fight him. Akuma found him along with disciples of his own, Ryu and Ken. Beforehand Akuma admitted he would not win unless giving in to the killing intent. Gouken retorted saying Akuma has dishonored their masters teachings and that there is more to it than death and destruction. Gouken would come to win the fight with Akuma begging his brother to kill him, in which Gouken would not do, saying Akuma could call him weak for leaving his opponent alive.
Later again Akuma would fight Gouken and win, unknowing Gouken only emptied his soul and laid in a coma. Ken heard the fight and came rushing in only too late, seeing his master on the floor lifeless. Ken confronted the person who had done the act and saw it was Akuma and proceeded to fight him. Akuma would win the fight then dissappear without a trace.
Akuma now travels the world seeking more power and even more powerful opponents.
