We all know Kishi and how many times he has trolled us lol
What if Naruto's statements in latest chapter that "it irks me but i think i must follow you" and repeating such a thing "it still irks me to follow your orders but i don't doubt u" are kinna foreshadowing another would-be-coming trolls of Kishi: Sasuke will become Hokage hahaha. So what do you think guys? =D
That has been Narutos dream since the beginning & kinda the point of this manga , also we were reminded if him being Hokage a chapter back by Gara & wanting to have a drink with him as Hokage , either make him Hokage or shit all over the story .
It would be an absolute troll to make Sasuke hokage. It would be like Benedict Arnold deciding to join back up with the Americans after betraying them, helping them win the war in the end, and then trying to become president. You just don't do that. It doesn't work like that. Once you cross that line betraying the peopel who loved you and supported you to join up with a group whose sole purpose is to destroy those very people, you've lost all rights to become hokage. I've made the analogy before, but Sasuke's becoming hokage is like the whiny brat who decides to destroy half the toy store because his parents refused to buy him the toy he wanted only to be given the toy he wanted in the end. It's grade A bull.
However, when it comes to ability and stats, Sasuke would be a better hokage in every way. Sasuke isn't an effing idiot like Naruto. Sasuke has smarts and wits and strategy and understands situations, everything Naruto doesn't have. Not only that, but Sasuke does have the darkness you need to be a great leader, the thing Hiruzen didn't have that made him a failure in my opinion. But in the end, Sasuke was too weak and he couldn't handle the pressure and broke. But had he not broken and stuck with the village and stayed faithful, I'd choose him over Naruto 100/100 times.
I just don't know what to think about the whole hokage situation. Kishi's really written himself into a pickle here with the characters he's chosen and their personalities and histories. Then again, I'm not surprised since he's been proving time and time again how bad of a writer he is. I really hope he can make it work out in the end without it feeling forced and cheesy, while at the same time not making it seem like total BS.
^^^^^^^^ This is why western fanbase is irate
Trying to compare japanese mangaka
and his manga influnced by japanese history to AMERICAN society and history
I don't really know, but I will say it's not as unlikely as it was a year ago that's for sure... But I don't think Sasuke should return to the leaf. he's better off starting his own village.
I was just making a comparison that i assume many on here can understand. Sasuke is a traitor, plain and simple. There is no cultural confusion. The reason I brought up Benedict Arnold is because I assume the majority of people know who he is and understand what happened with him. Treason very much exists in eastern culture, and they understand it would be absolute BS to give a traitor any power.
The problem is so many mangaka, especially shonen mangaka, have this extreme idealistic thing going on and just don't understand how the world works. Kishi is by far the most guilty of the main shonen mangaka out now. You can't just TnJ villains. Can you imagine Luffy TnJ'ing Lucci? Or Ichigo TnJ'ing Aizen? Knowing Kishi, it wouldn't shock me in the slightest if the Naruto world just forgives Sasuke for everything he did. I mean the So6P did, so why wouldn't everyone else? But the Naruto world doesn't have the mindset of the real world the way series like One Piece and Bleach do, so it's hard for me to take the series seriously anymore. It has absolutely nothing to do with culture.
