Poor Sakura

I dislike Sakura more than any other character. But sometimes I can't help but feel pity for her. Sakura is possibly the most trolled Naruto character. Kishi loves to troll Sakura.

In chapter 632, we saw Sakura saying that she finally caught up to Naruto and Sasuke. She even indirectly challenges them for Hokage seat !

Was Sakura kidding herself when she thought she had caught up to Naruto and Sasuke? She still can't hold a candle to SM Naruto and MS Sasuke. Did she forget Pain arc when she was crying for Naruto's help? And after seeing BM Naruto in the war she still thinks she could ever catch up to them? Was that statement an act of self-consolation? Or she suffers from memory loss issues? Or just plain ignorance?

I'm not bashing her, but Sakura as a character is a complete joke. Even though she is a main character, she serves nothing more than a tool for comic relief. I understand that she's weak, but you don't need to be super strong to be a good character. In the next chapter, either she will be either be saved by Obito from Madara thanks to PNJ shield, or she will die like a fodder.

Can Kishi do anything to redeem her character?

Of course Naruto and Sasuke can do damage to them. They just got a major power up. I don't think she meant caught up to them in strength. I think she just saw herself as worthy of standing with them. Of course she'll never be as strong as them. No one will. Don't give me that crap about she's a main character, so is Kakashi and he will never be close either.

Not really anything could be done for her at this point, I mean Naruto and Sasuke were always meant to be the most powerful (after Hiruzen). Sakura receiving a massive power-up wouldn't even make sense at this point plot wise, and if Kaguya will visit anyone I'd wager it be Hinata (Byakugan). Sakura being their equal would most importantly ruin Kishi's obsession with duality.

She was suffering from inferiority complex and was moaning for Naruto's help in the Pain arc. She could do nothing against 6POP and stood still like a useless person. And during the war arc she becomes super confident and thinks that she could stand alongside BM Naruto and EMS Sasuke? lol

sakura have the third sannin summon and is able heal the masses, which her two teammates can't. (naruto's kyubi cloak/life force touch does not count as healing coz guy is still burning)

Naruto saved Might Gai from confirmed death. Nothing can save an 8th gate user from death, according to 8th gate's legend. Naruto's healing is above any mediocre ninjutsu now

And sakura has done nothing that qualifies her to be a sannin. She is still below tsunade, whereas Naruto and Sasuke surpassed jiraiya and orochimaru long time ago

I'm pretty sure that isn't healing, just giving Gai chakra
