Wait dude but I am wrong. That 188 million sales thing was calculated only till 36 volumes when naruto sold 113 million in japan. Let's see that totals 301 million sales worldwide till volume 36. Now it's like 32 volumes more. I am pretty sure if they were to release world sales now then NARUTO is number 1. What do you think?

Why not? The same wiki-pedia says exact sales number for onepiece and other mangas bro. This wikipedia being not reliable is pure BS,in 96% cases. I was just reading the trustworthyness issue of wikipedia and found that it's accuracy ****ing matches renowned "Britanica Encyclopedia" as stated in various studies done by different individual bodies. The wrong things get remove from the site within 72 hrs. by a group of 1000 administrators skilled in different fields. The only poor thing is the way of illustration or little grammar.

Anyway, this sales thing is something I saw in NB and some other places as well back when I joined,so I am pretty sure it's correct. And let's be real Naruto is really very popular outside japan.

one piece fans r like majority and they always complain about one piece not getting respect and 80% r massive wankers.
Still i m not frequent one piece reader so i don't know.
and naruto is more popular than one piece outside japan but i still doubt by 5 times

Naruto is more popular than OP in America and used to be more popular in in Europe, but OP take Asia no contest, and we all know Asia manga/anime fans is bigger than any other continent......

tbh i see no reason why ppl even bother discussing sales outside japan, the ones that matter is the sales in japan why ? because that where its created and that's where manga and anime really get a recognition, truth be told Japanese don't give a flying **** about what is popular abroad.....

For example Anime/manga like Uchuu Kyodai (Space Brother) is considered one of the best/most inspirational/educated manga ever made, yet here outside japan ppl barely know about it let alone watch/read it

If they don't give a flying **** about abroad then why people like you give a flying **** about them. Japan is only 1.5% of world total population and % of manga readers outside Japan is definitely greater than them combined so **** Japan. And it being the home of manga doesn't mean shit. And please don't confuse Japan with Asia.

Umm excuse me but i give **** about what ?
Bold : if it not because of them there will no manga and you'll never read your beloved Naruto, so idk how your mindset works but surely you have some problem....

Bold 2 : it means a lot why ? because its the biggest market for anime and manga, i think everyone knows that......

Bold3: Well am not, OP rocks in Asia

1. And your point? It being the creater of manga doesn't make them best in reviewing them. It's like saying England being the creator of cricket makes them no. 1 at it. Please...

2. Like I said,it doesn't mean shit. Why? Because praising an art form doesn't work like that. Japan's entire population is less than people who read manga outside Japan. Everyone has equal value when it comes to statistics.

3. Like I said don't confuse Japan with Asia because OP has only 45 million sales outside Japan, which includes ASIA AND REST OF THE WORLD. And I live in ASIA and when every bigshot anime~Fma-b,naruto,naruto shippuden, dbz, hxh 2011,fma,nurarihon,yu-yu-hakusho,etc. have been telecast, your so called popular OP didn't even made it here in my country. Animax I mean.

Even if op don't broadcast in your country, it does not matter one bit
The sales don't lie

Op is first with 350 million copies

second comes in at 230 million

Naruto is about 200 million behind the first one

these are the facts
worldwide sales

- They're the one who deemed your beloved Naruto is good enough to get serialized, and yes they are the best when it comes to reviewing/judging/creating manga or maybe other like india is better ?, that example of yours don't works when it comes to manga

-Japanese Market > world market, the sales circulation in japan alone is bigger than the rest of the world, they sold more manga there, and have you forgot that that most ppl who read manga is an online reader ?

-India is not a big market for a manga and anime, you guys are quite new when it comes to manga and lot more stuff.... just because its not popular in your country doesn't mean its not popular in other country, am talking about Asia as a whole not just one country.

Lmao. One piece sold 345 million worldwide as of latest details released by viz and shounen jump in november 2013. As for the record, viz or shounen jump also released the details of naruto manga being sold 188 million outside japan and 113 million in japan by the end of volume 36. That equals 301 million worldwide.

@totsuka

1. Lmao why are you bringing in naruto as my beloved? FYI it's GTO,ever heard of it? Or the second place will be for the breaker. Anyway, you are wrong, like it or not. Them being creator doesn't make them best criticiser/reviewer,etc. And no,it applies in every field.

2. Your last remark killed your point. Even when people outside read more online, even then Mangas like naruto sold 188 million print outside japan till volume 36. And there are several other mangas that excels OP outside Japan.

3.

3. That should also apply to other mentioned anime but sadly it doesn't. And btw I'm talking about ANIMAX ASIA. Didn't they become one station for entire asia?
