A game where the character is the end boss?

How awesome would it be if the character you were playing as for the past 200+ hours turns out to be the final boss of the game?

That would be a total troll lol.
Any ideas if there is such a game?

I remember Diablo, but he doesn't turn end boss till Diablo 2.

Chrono Cross you fight him near thr end of disc 1 though.

I mean, there are star wars games where you can choose your alignment and become a dark character at the end, but nothing that extreme.

Play dragons dogma when u beat game and do it again your. Created character or a friends does all the voice lines and u must fight and kill them I was so sad when i fought mine

You play through a campaign leading the Witch King from no army, to developing an entire empire and leading a huge conquest.

The final mission has you play as the Men and Elves as you have to topple that empire and defeat all of the leaders of Angmar that you helped recruit and build up.

Not exactly a specific character, but it's a similar concept and it's pretty cool actually
