How did u know it's called filler?

When watching shippuden and u came across a filler arc how did u know it's filler what i mean is how did u know it's only from the anime and not from the manga?? The word filler who told u about , how did u know??
Well me i was watching the six tails arc(utakata arc) i wanted to see it in the manga so i was searching for it ,there is no chapter about it then i thought why is that, finally i knew that this arc is anime only so the word filler i knew it from websites and fb

Interesting enough, in the manga Utakata referenced meeting Naruto before when Naruto was being acquainted
to the Tailed Beasts and their Jinchuuriki. Which kinda does mean that arc was apart of the main story even though it wasn't in the Manga.

I could always tell though, it'd stray away from the main story and have more flashbacks than usual.

you only really know if its not found in the manga. that being said, there have been good fillers in the past, its just the majority of them are garbage!

I knew that it was filler in Part 1 when they randomly did heaps of things that would have never happened in the manga because they didn't help the storyline.

There is only one filler arc( Power ) the rest are just expansions on the story Bleach is the king of filler arc's

You need to understand the word filler, it means that something whose some parts are missing or which making the story incomplete cuz the background or history of a character is missing and which fulfills that is called fillers, literally seeing it by default makes us understand something which fills(which of course means related to someone past), so i hope now you understand, right ?

I started out with the anime version two but I see the anime as the finished version Kishi said in an interview he wish he thought more ahead Kishi has majority creative control and final say that's with all these side arc's about expanding his story since according to Kishi Naruto was supposed to end after the pain arc

When i see a filler i just know that it is a filler, it's story is totally not related , i always hate them.

Cause some Naruto episodes were stupid like that one dude who told Naruto to steal the sacred scroll, then he came back as a tiger. Stupid episodes like that made me stop watching then I realized here that a lot of episodes were filler

That sounds logical and that's what it should mean but it actually isn't it's when they go off Canon to extend the series now flashback episodes can also be described as filler but if that were true all of Naruto is filler since the beginning there is always been those kind of flashbacks even within the episode itself when Naruto thinks about Sasuke or when Sasuke thinks about Itachi during the final Valley battle

Filler is anything that's not.

Some filler character have been reviled as Canon.

Maybe fillers are canon to some extent.
