Should shikamaru be an anbu captain

Do u guys think shikamaru should be and anbu captain or not?

His techniques aren't fit for Anbu, & he isn't cold enough. Anbu assassinate and hunt down missing Nin, often bringing heads as proof. You think Shikanaru has it in him to decapitate? His combat style doesn't suit Anbu anyway.

I disagree with the techniques thing, i DO agree with the style thing though. His attacks aren't huge scale, they're quick and lethal. He'd be great physically, just not emotionally

yes he has the type of stealthy and lethal jutsu that are similar to anbu but he needs to be able to control his emotions xd even though he did show his cold side during asuma's death arc (when fighting hidan)

he shouldn't even be an anbu. anbus have to do the dirty work. Killing people and such. and they need to be a little more powerfull and have more chakra than shika. yeah he is smart but he lacks the power.

they have a negative rep because of danzo. Yeah they do bad things but with danzo out of the picture the deeds may not be as dark. and besides even if it fit him or not, shikamaru is a ninja. he has to kill people from time to time. i doubt these are good enough reasons not to be anbu captain. Just my opinion. Shikamaru was pretty cold when it came to dealing with hidan so i dont think its a matter of temperament or killing ability. Granted i agree he may not be the most powerful, but with his brains i think he can make up for his lack of strength.

Police : Smarts and Tactics.
Anbu: Cold Blooded and Killing.

This here. He even had his little reflection moment saying how Naruto would need an advisor since he wasn't lucky enough to have a smart brother. But getting back to the thread, he qualifies brain wise. Emotionally however, maybe not. we've never seen him being cold enough to opponents to be considered Anbu ready.
