Hell No!!

naruto was chuunin level at most in part 1 -.- dont go thinking that kage level is so easy to attain.
I too don't think he's Kage level (dividing Kurama), just a theory.

Why even ask this question. Any Jounin with average speed would end him before he can do anything big.

You do know that Naruto just needed to wake up Gaara to stop Shukaku don't you? Shukaku wasn't beated Gaara was
You might be right, but didn't Gamabunta say that he's at his full power when Gaara sleeps?

Certainly not. Like someone said earlier, shukaku wasn't at full power, gaara was sleeping atop his head-a difficult to reach but nonetheless vulnerable position not to mention all he had to do was hit gaara. Fighting with sand in the environment however means nothing for the 4th because he used gold not sand and the only ones known that are able to use sand are shukaku's jinchuurikis. More so, there's no proof that the village was backing him up...there's no report of shukaku's rampages killing anyone who helped fight it like in hachibi's and kyuubi's case. But that point is really moot anyway. My point is 4th kazekage >>> part 1 naruto

He took on Kabuto (imo Mid/High-Jounin), that same Kabuto that scared the shit ouf of Tsunade.

No part 1 naruto is not stronger than the kazekage. If I shouldn't have to explain my reason it's common sense

Tsunade, who then kicked Oro's ass. ABC logic does not work. Kabuto was cocky, if he wanted to he could have killed Naruto right away.

I agree on that, but it's most likely when you got beaten by your brother and you beat some kid, your brother beats that kid too.

Nah, I'll debunk it....

One, Shukaku wasn't even at full power when he awakened. It was stated that HAD he remained summoned longer, he would have eventually gotten to full power, and he was gaining power the longer Gaara was asleep and Shukaku was out.

However, keep in mind that Gamabunta is a "Kage" level summon. Naruto could only summon him due to huge chakra reserves. I'm sure someone like Kakashi/Gai/Asuma/Kurenai COULD summon him, but it would take a significant amount of chakra.

The Fourth Kazekage was able to handle Shukaku alone. On the night Yashamaru died, the Fourth ordered that the village be evacuated to "test Gaara.

The fourth Kazekage is clearly alone here. While it's pretty clear that he's not an outstanding Kage like we've seen others be, he was capable of standing up to a fully transformed Shukaku alone, with no summonings.

I do agree though, that Naruto was an exceptionally strong Genin in Part I (I don't really consider him a Genin now).

Tanking a jutsu most Genin couldn't and ready to counterattack.

Getting Kabuto in the gut with a Rasengan, who at this point was noted to be Kakashi level.

All in all, not quite Kage level, but definitely an outstanding Genin once he started to bloom.

Also, Tsunade was only scared of Kabuto because he exploited her haemophobia

As I said, this theory might be wrong, and I like your explanation, though I still think Gamabunta is High-Jounin or so, once Part 1 Naruto summons him, he can probably oppose Asuma or so with ease.

I don't agree with what you said about Kabuto vs Tsunade because abusing your opponents weakness is a part of fighting.

Kazekgae were mostly the weakest of their generation...

But I'd disagree with your point since fighting differently against a single opponent can produce different results.
Naruto's style easily subdued the Shukaku...

Woah, first time hearing this. But I thought Naruto didn't really defeat him?

Only problem is, Jiraiya was handicapped by poison and Orochimaru had no arms.

The ONLY possibility here was that Kishimoto wanted Naruto, Shizune and Kabuto to have a moment to shine (Particularly Naruto and Kabuto).

Otherwise, while Orochimaru was fighting Jiraiya, he could have made a shadow clone to kill Naruto or assist Kabuto in taking out Tsunade/Shizune.

It is true that ninja use handicaps, but the problem is all three Sannin were handicapped which is just too suspicious.

Gamabunta did the work.

A Kage-level shinobi is someone who has great power on his own, and is highly refined in the basics. Part 1 Naruto was high-Chuunin.

I think Naruto hit Jounin-level by the end of the Hidan and Kakuzu arc, and then Kage-level during the Pein Arc.
