Naruto has no reason to become Hokage

Naruto character will have no reason to become hokage at the end of manga

1. Naruto has everybody's respect now.. He wanted to become hokage because he wanted to prove himself and gain honour by becoming hokage. But already the whole world respects him including the villains. Gaara and Tsunade are basically fanboy and fangirl of naruto. Madara acknowledged him, Obito and Nagato acknowledged him after getting pawned by PNJ. Naruto's got all the respect in the world.

2. Naruto knows himself that he's not very bright. Sasuke is inarguably a better candidate to become hokage than Naruto. Shikamaru and Kakashi are on a different league of intellect and Kakashi is definitely more worthy of becoming hokage than Sasuke himself.

3. Naruto has already 'saved' Sasuke from darkness/hatred (or rather Sasuke saved himself, same thing). After the war there would be no motivation for Naruto to pursue his 'hokage' dream, nor there'll be any antagonist which will encourage him to get in charge of konoha and dictate the battlefield. All of his regrets will be gone and problems solved after the war.


Besides, a imbecile like Naruto becoming hokage would look too dumb. We all love Goku, but he wouldn't look very cool as a president of a country. Naruto has the right reasons to turn down hokage seat. I hope Kishi doesn't make Naruto the hokage at the end, that would be too cliche.

Hashirama became hokage in war period. He, Madara and Tobirama had lots of tension between them after Hashi became hokage. Naruto won't have any of those issues. Nobody's gonna attack leaf village after the current war

Sasuke still has lot of hatred inside him. He's still that silent and reserved guy. Guys like that are always very poisonous.

He can't handle diplomatic issues by himself. His stupidity might cause another war later. Not to mention, sasuke won't be too pleased if Naruto becomes hokage, as sasuke is very serious and determined to govern leaf village properly. If Naruto becomes hokage sasuke might become another madara (sasuke is so emo, as we know)

If Naruto doesn't become hokage, the story will be completely unaffected. That's the best option actually

Possible. Sasuke is an idiot himself, if he doesn't become hokage he might become a rogue ninja again like madara. Then he would reform his taka gang to rebel against hidden leaf. For hidden leaf's safety, naruto must not become hokage

true, the whole allied shinobi force acknowledged him as their saviour. naruto is above hokage, he doesn't need to get konoha's top seat. naruto has nothing to prove anymore
