Jiraiya was Hiruzens pupil. How did he not know his own sensei accomplished this decades before Nagato existed?

It is said the Rinnegan lets you use all 5 elements but the only person who ever demonstrated this was Hiruzen, neither Madara, Obito, Nagato, or Sasuke. Kakuzu steals the hearts of people and put them in his thread bodies so that they can use the 5 elements but he cant use them all himself without those 4 additional hearts. Hiruzen has no Rinnegan so how is did he do this? How is it possible? What did I miss? Was it ever said Hiruzen can use all 5 elements before he revealed he can because I surely don't remember reading that. This is unbelievable and hax. What was Kishi thinking?

All "six" types refers to yin-yang release as well. Hiruzen hasn't demonstrated that one.

Or, Jiraiya did actually mean six, which we haven't seen Hiruzen use a sixth chakra type.

The sixth type of chakra is the yin yang style. That is jutsu like shadow clones shadow possession etc. Hiruzen can do those so he knows all six types. Does this just means that Hiruzen taught the sannin everything they know but not everything he knows?

He can use all 5 of them, but they wouldn't be in his chakra affinity.
Learning a jutsu would be rather simple.

Kakashi has also portrayed to use 4 elements so far.

And why do i say that learning a jutsu wouldn't be too hard?
Remember just before Minato came to save the SA, Shikamaru told (someone whose name i forgot) to teach the handseals of some type of earth style technique to everyone, and naturally, not EVERYONE there had the earth style affinity, but they could all use it.

EDIT: the 6th type is most likely Ying-Yang release, not sure though.
