My thoughts are that you simply related different things because they sound familiar to you, 8 gates =/= 7 Chakras, NV Chakra =/= Avatar's counterpart.

I didn't really say that the 8 gates are the same thing as the 7 chakras, I implied they are similar. How can you deny the argument I made about energy levels being synonymous with NV chakra? If Aang can literally bend energy and energy is synonymous with chakra (in NV) then he should be able to bend chakra.

Doesn't Sasuke have Kirin for a few seconds and then throw it? If I remember correctly Sasuke didn't throw Kirin right when he summoned it. If Aang manipulates Kirin in the time frame that Sasuke summons it he might be able to throw it at Sasuke.
