[Discussion] + [Theory] DO you think Gol D Roger had DF powers?

Lol with Luffy its an exception because he had a lame DF he had to turn beastly and he started from the bottom with it. With Gol D rOger fans would be expecting something instantly OP like the Quake Quake and I want Roger to be different

I agree with the idea just not how you said it lol. The OP did say though, that he felt Roger had the Gomu Gomu not the Gura Gura.
Not you specifically, but people seem to think that it would lessen Luffy as a character somehow if he had the same skills as Roger. Even if he had the same fruit it's not a reincarnation as in Rogers spirit inhabits Luffy's body, it's just someone else shares the same ideals as Roger did. I do agree though if Roger had a DF let alone Luffy's it should have been mentioned by now.

I disagree I don't think Roger had that DF...thats a reincarnations in my opinion......just look at Roger and Shanks crew everything screams non DF users in my opinion. Roger use to carry a sword and a gun

I believe the Pirate King had a DF. It has been eaten by a powerful and influential figure. Could be Dragon himself or a WG figure.

there was speculation that Roger had same ability as Dragon has now.. simply getting it after Rogers execution.

Why would someone think of that? Well.. when Roger and his crew went against Shiki's army of ships, its said that they managed to survive due to some freak storm. To me, this heavily implies that Roger, or someone in his crew, has the power to control the weather.
