There is nothing (that WE know) that Naruto could do here not to be cut in halves.

Sasuke would see shadow clones and the original and teleport himself next to the original.
Naruto's speed+sense of danger<teleportation+Sasuke's speed.If not , Madara is a lot slower than Naruto and he is not.

We have not seen all the Yang potential of Naruto , he only showed that he revived Gai-sensei.

Maybe if you cut Naruto in halves , he won't be dead.
Like tsunade and Orochimaru , he'll use bijuu's chakra to put the 2 halves in place , his Yang power will regenerate his corpse in 1 sec , and counter Sasuke who let his guard off..
