Is there a reason why obito didnt want to go after all the tails when he had kurama?.....before his first attack on the leaf. He roughly knew where they are, has a ability to go wherever he wanted and he was strong enough to take them all..... maybe im forgetting something.

i think it was something about plot...

but i think he was sending a message....im not sure if that attack was before or after he planed to form akatsuki tho....and from the recent anime's we see that he had another plan when he was talking to itachi and told him he cant use his eyes on that plan...also his connection with orochi and danzo is very mysterious....obito is a strange guy

he did want to destroy the village since it didnt mean anything to him, probably under madara uchiha hatred. but his wish came afterwards when nagato eradicated the village anyways, and if he didnt do it then sasuke was going to achieve that ambition.

I don't think he had fully planned and formed the akatsuki at that time. He would probably need them to speed up absorption process or whatever. Also he probably just wanted to attack the leaf (he was still considered a teenager at this time right? So he probably didn't make the best decisions).

ok bro i think i can help you out here with this question. ok. when the obito attacked the village with nine tails we seen that itachi was young maybe like 8 or something holding is lil bro in his arms. obito had short hair...fast forward to like episode 359 and we see its a older itachi talking to obito and now obito has long hair now and he is only then talking about the akatsuki....the point is i think we was working with danzo becuz right before sasuke vs danzo and tobi seen danzo he said "long time no see....since the uchiha incident eh?"...then danzo and co. attacked obito.....im tryna say that i dont think that when he was controlling nine tails that it was in his plan to gather all the tails yet...it was just to help out danzo in a back story that we didnt hear yet

Maybe he couldn't keep Kurama under his control for prolonged period. He didn't have the power to seal the Kurama into the Gedou Mazo too I think, because he was't able to control it properly without Rinnegan.

Remember that, it took some years for the Akatsuki to make "preparations" for capturing all the Bijuus. I think it must be something to do with the Gedou Mazo. Maybe Nagato was still training to use the Gedou Mazo to be able to seal Bijuus, and also syncing the Akatsuki members with the Mazo.

Plus, all the Bijuus were sealed inside Jinchuurikis. Surely Obito couldn't do it alone anyway.

Obito was able to get Kurama only because of the weakening of the Kushina's seal from giving birth to Naruto.
